Following a road traffic accident, a driver was charged with a serious driving offence. The driver in question strongly denied the charge and indeed believed that the other driver was totally at fault.

The accused driver called on the services of a T.D.C. trained investigator. The investigator’s file provided evidence showing that the accused driver was blameless. All police charges were withdrawn.
While an employee was assisting in a lifting task, an injury was said to have occurred. The accident was recorded by the company. Following the incident the person with the alleged injury sought legal advice.A personal injury claim was made resulting in an interim payment of £5,000 being made to the injured person while the full compensation award was considered and agreed. However, investigations provided clear evidence that the injuries claimed were in fact non-existent.

Because of this evidence the insurance company was not duped into paying a large compensation claim and the company’s commercial insurance costs did not increase the following year.
