Practical Hands on Experience...

In the final stages of your training, you will be working within the accident investigation office. This part of your training is to bring together all the taught topics and practical exercises. All equipment is provided. All documentation follows that of the samples provided on the main course. We are interested in your investigation skills being finely tuned at this stage, not your typing/spelling skills.

You will be presented with a wide range of case files ranging from road traffic accident to slips and falls. Site visits will be undertaken and you will have at least one fatal accident case to work through. You will also be required to undertake statement taking from actual eye-witnesses; this will mean you interviewing the witness in their workplace, home or within the accident investigation office. The training staff will support you as required but the emphasis will be on you working through each case with as little support as possible, preparing you for your new employment.

Each day trainers and students will discuss each case as it is completed. Learning outcomes will be highlighted and reinforced.
To all intents and purposes the actual cases/exercises you will cover over this stage will prepare you for work within the accident investigation world.

What is the realistic earning potential?

TDC students go on to work for Law firms, Local Government Authorities Commercial Companies and The General Public. A review of the TDC newsletters gives some indication of just how successful our students are. Within the newsletters you will see our students conducting investigations on behalf of the Fire Service Police Officers who have been injured at work, National Companies, and of course law Firms.

On successful completion of the training course our students earn in excess of £35.00 per hour for investigation work undertaken. .

TDC work with major law firms (see comments in our main brochure) and assist students in gaining employment. Because of the qualification they hold after completing the course very few of our students leave without being offered some form of employment within accident investigation / personal injury claims

We will support you when you take the first step in your career as an Accident Investigator.
